As we bid farewell to another incredible year, we're taking a moment to celebrate the wonderful milestones that made 2023 so special for our sisterhood.
We kicked off the year with a bang, introducing our rebrand and our new Curl Care Shampoo and Curl Care Conditioner for better scalp health. From co-developing our formulas to our bilingual packaging, we're thrilled to celebrate our heritage and dual identity as immigrants from the Dominican Republic.
But, 2023 wasn't just about products. OCOA is a sisterhood! We are now over 11.5K hermanas across social media and growing. We've had the most amazing time connecting with you all—whether it was through events, Instagram Live, or your emails and DMs. We love reading how you are embracing who you are born to be. Your stories continue to inspire us every single day.
It's mind-blowing to see what we were able to accomplish this year.
- Sold over 75,000 ounces of OCOA products
- Launched our #HelpingHermanas program and donated over 300 bottles of our Hydrating Curl Cream
- Won first place at the tecBRIDGE non-collegiate business plan competition
- Collaborated with companies like, Visa, Chase and Salesforce during Hispanic Heritage Month
- Won the 2023 Berks County Latino Chamber Young Entrepreneur Award
- Joined our Alma Mater as the Penn State Berks Fall ‘23 Commencement speakers
- Finished this last month with back-to-back features on Forbes and POPSUGAR
None of this would have been possible without YOU. Your love, feedback, and trust in us have fueled our passion to keep pushing boundaries in the hair care industry.
As we step into a new year, we're excited for all the new things coming our way. More innovation in curly hair care and more connections (Stay tuned for more IRL events).
